This month we are featuring a professional painting project for Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Arlington, VA. Items of the building’s exterior including the steeple, soffits, trim, windows, doors and wrought iron railings were in need of repainting. Carpentry works was also required due to wood rot found in several areas.
A major consideration for this project was the painting system to use, since the majority of the surfaces had problems such as peeling, cracking and chalking. Our goal was not only to create an immediate uplift of the building but to also extend the painting cycle to five years at a minimum. That is why we chose to work with Sherwin Williams’ best acrylic latex paint, Emerald.
