This month we are featuring Sherwin Williams’ color Alchemy. It contains warm tones and offers subtle brightness that has the ability to create a cozy glow and make a home feel welcoming and friendly.
First, let’s take a look at how this color can transform a home’s exterior and create an impression of sunlit, cheerful and welcoming space. As the image below displays, this is well emphasized by the contrast with the grey roof and boosted by white window frames.
In this next example we can see how the paint color also combines well with other earthy exterior elements to offer even more sunny and energizing feel.
White color is very complementary to Alchemy and it multiplies the brightness of the warm yellow tones. The photos below demonstrate the appealing effect in both exterior and interior areas.
Why is Alchemy a great color for kitchen spaces? Many families tend to eat in their kitchen area rather than the dining room and warm colors are known not only to enhance a cosy and homely atmosphere but also to increase the appetite. Alchemy is especially versatile as it combines very well with both light and dark colors. In the example below we see that the kitchen is painted with different contrasting shades without any clashing of paint hues and the appearance of the cabinets and appliances. The room gives the impression of being sunlit and hospitable.
As mentioned earlier, the color Alchemy in combination with light decor creates a spacious, bright, sunny feeling and gently warms up spaces. The living room below demonstrates this beautiful fusion of the two tones.
In the bedroom photo, Alchemy is again used in combination with white to increase spaciousness and cheer.
Using Alchemy paint color in small spaces creates a sunnier atmosphere and it brightens as the photo below reveals. Dark corners get transformed into spaces with delicate sunlit impression.
