This month we are featuring an exterior painting project located in Springfield, VA. The exterior surfaces consisted of cedar siding that was in need of maintenance after 6 years along with the wood trim. Cedar siding is beautiful and it offers unique aesthetics, however it also requires special attention and professional skill for proper preparation and treatment.
Since the wood had been stained before, proper thorough cleaning in a way that didn’t damage the material was essential. Professional care is very important in this case in order avoid the costly mistake of damaging the cedar. As always, we chose to work with the best products and used Sherwin Williams’ Emerald paint along with CWF stain which offers good penetration for wood that offers exceptional protection against moisture and damage from the sun.
