Vacancy: Production Manager – Residential Projects

$50,000 – $60,000 / Year + bonuses

Due to our continuous growth, we are looking for a driven and successful person to join our team as a Production Manager for Interior and Exterior Residential Painting. This position will have a relentless focus on field management including the training of new recruits and running a team of talented and experienced painters as well as working with peers to ensure timely completion of projects while meeting our quality standards.

General Responsibilities:

Direct Staff

  • Hire, train, evaluate, and manage paint crews: Motivate painters to achieve productivity and effectiveness goals, within company operating guidelines, to meet or exceed goals.
  • Recruit and coach qualified, effective paint crews: Locate and train craftspeople on the proper use of materials and tools for each job to build sales and customer satisfaction. Perform meetings as needed with painters and staff to teach goals, enforce standards, and enable good communications.

Participate as required in daily operational tasks:

  • Job site visits, Project/crew management, Customer relations, and Project reporting
  • Serve as daily point of contact for customers
  • Operating Controls – manage job site material costs, craftspeople performance and initiate methods to improve performance
  • Support the sales team with estimates and trade shows, as required
  • Report accurate results as needed on a timely and complete basis
  • Maintain accurate and open communications with management
  • Ensure OSHA & EPA compliance
  • Management of job-site paperwork
  • Assets Management – maintain physical assets in good condition
  • Maintain personable and professional relationships with craftspeople and customers
  • Ensure proper equipment & materials are provided for proper job site production, safety, and/or performance
  • Additional duties, as required by management

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years’ painting or construction experience
  • 2+ years’ management (leading a crew) experience
  • LED certified
  • Candidates must possess good listening skills
  • Superior customer service skills and respectful of customers
  • Professional with a good sense of humor and easy going
  • A positive can-do attitude and a good problem solver
  • Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check investigation and drug screening
  • Must have reliable transportation, a current driver’s license and maintain the proper level of valid auto insurance – for use of company-provided vehicles
